The Owner’s previous personal residence. House was stick framed in 1942 near Freeway Ford. Was relocated to an empty lot in the Cole neighborhood approx. 2005 and placed on a brand new foundation. Purchased by Owner as seen in the “before pic” below in 2009. Completely rewired and insulated from the outside. Concrete porches removed. Rework of all roof lines, custom stone and solid cedar siding. Period correct door with period correct hardware added. Deck built of random width Beetle kill with walnut wood plugs covering all decking screws. Period bead board on underside of newly added architecturally correct open gable roof. Solid copper flashing details between stone and cedar. Faux copper gutters and down spouts. Time to completion: weekends only; over two years. Project came out under budget.
